Going La La Review
Hey everyone, i'm back with another review for you all.
This is a book that has been on my self for a while and i've just not gotten around to it but because it was sunny today I decided to give it a go.
This is another light-hearted romance which as you know i'm a sucker for, this book was a really good read. The characters were nice and the plot was fast paced and kept me reading late at night.
The synopsis reads:
Frankie's life is falling apart. In less than a week she's gone from having everything - a great job, lovely flat and gorgeous Hugh - to having nothing at all.
Devastated, dumped and on the dole, she packs her bags and flies to Los Angeles to stay with an old friend. Her goal? To sort out her life and get over Hugh. She does not, repeat not, go to LA to fall head over heels for an American photographer called Reilly and to run away to Las Vegas.
But what happens when Hugh wants her back? Who will she choose? And is it really true that whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas?

PLOT:
The story of this novel is such a cute little romance where the main character loses everything, her house, her boyfriend and her job all in the one week. She then decides to jet off to LA to see her longest best friend and meets another man who takes her mind off of her ex. This seems to be the perfect escape for her and a way of starting a new life but can it last?
CHARACTERS:
Frankie - Frankie is a nice character, she is easy to relate to and her emotions are extremely well portrayed throughout the book. It's easy to see how much Frankie really loved Hugh and how difficult it is for her to get over him other the course of the novel. She really seems to come into her own when she is in LA and really becomes this new and improved person with a whole new lease of life. Overall she is a really strong female character and I really liked her as a character.
Hugh - This guy is ridiculous, he is insensitive and I just really disliked his character, he seems to me to be very work oriented and doesn't really think about the feelings of others and this is just a few of the reasons why he is my least favourite character of the book.
Reilly - This guy seems to be a little arrogant when we first meet him and it really wasn't off to the best start but he really grew on me through the whole thing and I definitely liked him more than Hugh.
All in all even though it took me about a year to read this book it was definitely worth the wait and it is something that i'd probably pick up again in the future.
